And why not? I mean, it’s a natural fit. The Grand Ole Opry. The home base of Country music. The building with the Batman ears. Zombies. Yeah, like peanut butter and jelly with bananas and raisins sprinkled on top, served on cinnamon raisin bread! A perfect amalgamation! (Can you tell I’m typing this while I’m hungry?) If you live within driving distance of Nashville, Tennessee—and what exactly constitutes “driving distance” is relative to how big a fan you are and how good your car’s gas mileage is, or if you are, like myself, claustrophobic and eschew flying as an option if at all possible—then you will want to get to Nashville’s Music City Center building for the WALKER-STALKER CON on April 9th and 10th. Though I’m not as hardcore a fan of THE WALKING DEAD as are some, still I dig on zombies and would be headed that way myself, if there wasn’t another Horror con taking place in Nashville shortly before this one, a con which I had already decided to attend and thus made the appropriate arrangements and adjustments to my schedule. Who the hell went and scheduled TWO Horror-themed conventions back to back, anyway?
If you’re a TWD fan, and you haven’t already set your schedule, then be aware that tickets to WALKER-STALKER CON are on sale now. Get ‘em while they’re room temperature—sorta like the zombies themselves!
