They’re a’comin’! If you, like me, think zombies are kinda cute and cuddly, you’re gonna want to add these little beauties to your collection. The folks at Living Dead Dolls, a property of Mezco, a company known for producing top-notch (if expensive) toys for the serious collector and the layman alike, announced at the recent San Diego Comic Con, which is Mecca for the Geek Culture, their intent to bring to the world a series of dolls based upon George Romero’s classic 1978 film DAWN OF THE DEAD. There are a couple of pictures at the source link below, and the figures are looking pretty damn spiffy, doncha think?
The figures from HANSEL AND GRETEL are kinda amazing, too. Beautiful in a totally eerie way. And the zombie dolls from THE LOST IN OZ, the “Munch-kins” are, if I’m honest, more impressive to me than the DAWN OF THE DEAD line. (Granted, we’ve only seen those couple of pictures, or one-and-a-half, more like.) Living Dead Dolls’ upcoming Series 31 line, based on all manner of supernatural creatures, looks amazing in general. I recommend taking a little online stroll through their website, enjoying all the creepy selections. Think of it as virtual window shopping.
