New ‘Maggie’ (2015) Sneak Peek Video: “What If I Hurt You?”

“Directed by Henry Hobson, the story follows Arnold Schwarzenegger setting out to protect his infected daughter (Abigail Breslin) when a zombie epidemic is threatening the world.”

I love Arnold Schwarzenegger, –he’s great in like, everything, and some of my earliest movie memories are of Arnold as the Terminator, saving teenage boys and crazy moms, –I saw the sequel before I saw the original, and always thought it was totally cool how Linda Hamilton was in both movies, one as this really sweet waitress type, and in the sequel as a really cranky, super-driven sorta psychopath. She had her reasons of course. Anyway, Arnold plays a concerned father, taking care of his zombie daughter… or soon to be zombie daughter.

The clip takes place in the film, after Arnold-Dad has tracked down his daughter, portrayed by Abigail Breslin. She’s basically telling him that she’s concerned that once she changes and turns into a flesh-hungry zombie, she’ll hurt the rest of her family. Arnold tells her he promised her mother, that he’d take care of her, and Abigail’s character tells him he shouldn’t have brought her back. And that’s about it. I can’t tell if it’s foreshadowing or not, I mean, we’re talking a one minute clip here, but I’m still really excited to see the movie. All we can do is wait. La.

‘Night of the Comet’ Doesn’t Suck: Give The Valley a Chance!

‘Night of the Comet’ is the So-Cal ‘Night of the Living Dead’

Okay so, firstly, don’t get upset, but this movie cannot be seen readily on Netflix, –I dunno about Amazon though, so you might try there. It is on YouTube though, and since it’s an older movie, I doubt the YouTube people are that concerned about it. Thank you, so much, to illegal YouTube uploaders… you guys are great. Anyway, I love this image above; we have a trashed street, a young woman who looks like she’s had a long night, and a huge mess in what appears to be E.T.’s neighborhood.

The synopsis is pretty one-dimensional; a comet that only shows up every 65 million years passes by the earth, turning a fair amount of people into zombies. And said comet was also responsible for killing off dinosaurs, so hey, zombie dinosaurs… that sounds too awesome for words. The Valley is where the movie is set, so a lot of mall addicts and fashionistas are running around, squealing and getting eaten, while some of the more survival-minded mall girls are turning the tables and fighting them off with guns and whatever else is handy. Check it out, –you won’t be disappointed, –you can watch it on YouTube or wait for it to come back to Netflix!

Support ‘Old Main’ Zombie Movie on IndieGoGo

“The One Day You Don’t Want to Come to Class…”

As I sit here, eating my breakfast of peanut butter granola bars and giant Sasquatch meat stick, I was shocked to find that the zombie movie “Old Main” has received ZERO dollars in funding! Gasp! It is our job, our calling, if you will, to support zombie movies in all their guts, and brain-eating glory, whenever possible, to make sure that even the shittiest zombie movies get an audience. I feel sorry for this guy, his promo video looks like it was recorded in his linen closet… and their budget goal is only $500. Come on man… you need more than that.

Anyway, this is supposed to be a microbudget zombie movie that takes place in a college town; a zombie apocalypse begins, and like, shit hits the proverbial fan, lots of zombies, eating college kids, which to me is awesome, because I absolutely despise the loud student-y types. Seems like their whole culture revolves around date rape, abortion, and binge drinking. So yeah, throw some zombies in there: I’m ready! Head over to IndieGoGo and donate, fund the project, –you get cool perks and goodies for helping, so don’t be shy.

‘The Walking Dead’: Zombies Aren’t What You Should Be Worried About

It turns out the dead aren’t the biggest threat to humanity on the AMC series.

Obviously; although zombies or “walkers” are definitely deadly, and have killed plenty of people… most of the in memoriam characters weren’t killed by the undead. They were killed by people, crazy people, and Carol people, and Rick Grimes, among others. This chart is totally awesome by the way. Out of 105 total characters from the last five seasons, 31 are still alive, and 21 out of 105 were killed by the undead. 53 out of the 105, more than twice as many death-by-zombie, were killed by people. The average lifespan of any character runs about 12 episodes.

There’s also a video included about why Robert Kirkman never uses the word “zombie” in his show, –he also gets asked questions we want the answer to. Why no zombies? Because ‘The Walking Dead’ –according to Kirkman, exists in a world where zombies are not a thing, there are no zombie movies, or bestselling zombie book titles. It’s all about keeping it fresh and unknown to the series’ characters, who have no clue about what zombies are… there are no word for them so people just call them whatever they think is best. Walkers, stiffs, corpses, biters… lots of cool euphemisms emerge, and it’s awesome too, because they’re not limited by the immediate label provided in most zombie movies.

‘Zombie Hunter’: Danny Trejo & Zombies… Where Can It Go Wrong?

“Zombie Hunter” on IMDB Horror – 2013 – 93 Minutes This film was a selection for BEBE 2015. There were only two reasons too watch this: 1) it has the word “zombie” in the title and 2)…”

If you’re the type that doesn’t mind losing 93 minutes of your life that could otherwise be used to cure cancer or something, then maybe you should buy, torrent, stream, or Redbox Zombie Hunter however I personally wouldn’t spending any money on this movie, you’d be better off buying headphones for a deaf person.

I gotta say, this movie wasn’t that good….at all. For a movie that was released with a big annoying picture of Danny Trejo there’s very little exposure for him in this film. The rest is a pathetic knock-off of other films that are a lot better with actors that weren’t found at Home Depot and Craiglist. If you’re looking for a zombie fix that you won’t feel guilty afterwards as if eating that 4th piece of cake, check out The Walking Dead, Night of the Living Dead, or Dawn of the Dead.

Can True Love Conquer The Undead? Of Course!

“Cryogenically-frozen heads that come to life and race around by the power of their spinal cords, like human horseshoe crabs . . .”

Omg. How awesome does that sound? And there’s romance in here too somehow! Zombies eating brains, –durrr, and then there’s post-apocalyptic San Francisco… no doubt chock full of zombies wearing like, really trendy jeans and band shirts that no one recognizes. There’s also a mad scientist! The German scientist chasing after Cathren Whitney, who is half-human, half-zombie; a hybrid who must run from zombified Native Americans, the jealous Russian girlfriend of the crazed German scientist…

Plus there are zombie street gangs, human extremists, and you know… her own personal baggage, because what woman is complete without issues? She’s got her own boyfriend to deal with, and on top of everything else, she decays, regenerates, and still keeps her human consciousness…. something tells me that’s seriously going to affect her relationship with this Donovan guy. And plus! they were struggling big city dwellers to begin with! So I mean, start out poor and have all this other crap dumped on you… jeez. Bummer. This germy gem was free for a while but prices were assigned; it’s not that high, the Kindle version (links on source site) is only $3.99. Check it out and let us know what you thought!

The Undead Attack for the First Time in Indonesia!

“…a group of survivors attempts to survive the zombie apocalypse by avoiding and shooting a growing number of zombies.”

You know what’s so cool about zombies right now? That for once, they’re bringing us together; not quite in the way if they were real, sort of like an Independence Day situation, in which all the countries of the planet have to work together or else all get turned into …alien fuel. Or killed. No, the cool thing about zombies in pop culture right now is that events are being held internationally, literally, all over the globe for zombie games. It’s actually a great idea for promoting global tourism.

One of the big global events right now is the Zombie Attack; the first ever attack game to be played in Indonesia, or so their website says. The site has all the details, and their schedule of events. It’s started Apr. 10th, and it has about another week to go. So if you already live near the “Blitzmegaplex” –which is something like a mall to my understanding, head out over to Paris Van Java, –or if, by some stretch you’re rich and can afford pretty much anything, check it out. Also, anyone attending will need to register as a participant, –human or zombie. Let us know how it went if you were there!

Lewis And Clark And Zombies? …Thank God, No

Benjamin Percy’s new thriller re-tells the story of Lewis and Clark’s expedition, against a postapocalyptic future backdrop where the Mississippi has dried up and monsters roam the West.

All I saw when I opened this up was that the pair Lewis and Clark were back on the road, as a completely different set of characters, and the word “post-apocalyptic” –which to mean, meant that somewhere in this book, there would be zombies. So I dusted myself off, got back up, and read the first paragraph over. The Dead Lands totally sounds like another zombie book, but not necessarily a bad one, since Stephen King clearly believes in the story, and demands that we read it. And I was concerned too, that because it’s a re-telling of the Lewis and Clark adventure, that it was written by Seth Grahame-Smith, who… is not really my favorite person.

But no, there is no made up stupid shit about the “secret lives and deep mysteries” of Lewis and Clark in American history. Like there are for some of our other, well-known American heroes. Abolishing slavery wasn’t enough, Abe has to be a damn vampire killer too. Anyway, there are a ton of monsters in this book, including mutants, which, imo, are kid of like zombies since they shuffle around with like only one thought rattling around in their heads for easy access. I’m excited to read a book in which Lewis is a drug addled hermit with magic powers, and Clark is a female alcoholic who needs anger management classes. It sounds fantastic, –and there might not be zombies, but there are giant spiders! Any of you guys read the book already? Do you miss the zombies, and feel they would have made the book even better? Leave a comment, let us know what you thought!

Zombies vs. Spartans: Battling On Campus

“When did you die Karlee?”

“Yesterday,” Karlee Herzog said with a smile.

“I was ambushed by Wells Hall.”

No one does horror like Sam Raimi; honestly, no one does any kind of genre film or TV show like Sam Raimi, –and I think it’s cute how he almost always manages to get his brother Ted a bit part in lots of his projects. Ted Raimi is best known for being “Joxer the Mighty” on Xena: Warrior Princess. Ted has a lot of talent, and can pretty much play any kind of personality, but imo, he does lovable goofball the best. Anyway, back to the trailer: the movie looks scary as hell, and the opening sequences actually made me jump. A little girl getting stuck inside the flat screen is totally terrifying.

But then you add in that clown, and it’s all kinds of “Hell no, absolutely not.” The creepy clown in the first Poltergeist movie always completely undid me. I wonder though, if they’re going to make a sequel? The creepy old preacher guy from Poltergeist 2 totally kept me up at night for weeks after I saw the movie. I wonder what modern effects could do for him? Oh, and! the movie will be released in 3D, so you get to be extra scared, –like, piss your pants in sheer terror scared. I’m definitely heading to theaters to see this one, and I can’t wait!
