I can’t give writer Paul Gerstenberger or director Steve Barker full credit for this idea, an attraction wherein customers pay to get to hunt zombies. There was a Halloween haunted attraction I remember hearing about a couple of years back wherein patrons were given paintball guns and allowed to shoot actors portraying zombies. I remember thinking it sounded like a lot of fun, unless you were one of the zombies. Paintballs sting, I am told. I hope the attraction compensated its actors appropriately for taking the punishment.
Anyway, THE REZORT (nee GENERATION Z) answers the question of what happens AFTER a zombie apocalypse. The zombies are corralled and put into theme parks, where people pay to get to hunt them. When the security of one such park is compromised, appropriately enough by a computer virus, the hapless patrons are left at the mercy of the denizens of the attraction. (Astute viewers might recognize Jessica De Gouw, who portrayed Mina in the NBC series DRACULA, as one of those so imperiled.) It’s JURASSIC PARK, only with zombies instead of dinosaurs. I can’t wait to see this one, and I’ll naturally be providing you with a review as soon as I do.
“All major theme parks have delays. When they opened Disneyland in 1956, nothing worked!…Yeah, but…if The Pirates of the Caribbean breaks down, the pirates don’t eat the tourists!”
