How to Survive a Zombie Attack

Although it’s generally thought that zombies are a creation of Hollywood in order to sell tickets to horror movies, there are functional and philosophical zombies, which are believed to be real and therefore likely to attack should they meet up with a living human. If a living human is attacked by a zombie, there is almost no chance for survival due to the fact that even if the zombie doesn’t kill the human that it attacks, it will turn them into a zombie simply by biting them. For this reason, it’s very important to know how to defend yourself so that you will be able to survive an attack, or avoid one altogether.

The first defense to use is to kill them during the early stages of their transformation into a zombie. Just before a zombie gets into the deeper stages of being a zombie, they are not of their sound mind. They will often be motionless and appear to be in a trance. This is the time that they should be killed. Although it sounds extreme, it is not only better for the person that will inevitably be attacked but it is also being kinder to the zombie as they will not need to live a life of slavery and of having no mind.

Having access to weapons and ammunition is extremely important in a zombie attack. Those that are about to be attacked shouldn’t touch the zombie, for they will most likely become a zombie themselves. For this reason, it’s best to shoot the zombie. This is an effective way of killing them but avoid touching them at the same time.

Many people when they meet with one zombie or a group of zombies, find the nearest secure place to lock themselves in such as a house or garage. This is a big mistake as there really is no secure place when a zombie is trying to attack. If a zombie wants to attack, they will and there are no locks or walls that will stop them. However, zombies are very slow and awkward creatures and so, one can often escape a zombie simply by running away from it. Placing yourself in a situation where there is no escape such as a locked house, will only prolong the inevitable attack.

As a last resort, if you simply can find no other way to defend yourself against a zombie, try to act as one of them. Zombies will not attack their own kind and so, if they mistake you for a zombie, they will leave you alone and go elsewhere for their prey. To disguise yourself as a zombie, cover yourself with the scent of dead animals or humans, as there may be a few where you are if zombies are in the area. Also try to cover your skin and clothing with the blood from these animals. Adopt a slow and awkward walk and don’t speak, so you can further the disguise.
